Yep, thats right, but there are some rcp application using syncml like Workplace Rich Client, the proposed Apogee and Chirp, for example that culd work on-line and offline. Wath they do is use SyncML to syncronize a local database to a server database when connected. Mybe thats culd be a riquirement to take a look.
