Dear all, I know I am probably repeating questions asked in the past, but I have been looking for some days now at getting it working and finding a solution.
I seem not to grap what needs to be in the mysql-ds.xml and portal-mysql-ds.xml I named my datase jbossportal, created a user jboss with password portal. Copy the Connector/J to the lib directory. Now I have read that there are issues with the connection-url in the *-ds.xml files but after having tried every suggestion it is still not working. The question I have is what precisely need to be in there when using mysql 5.0 and should it be identical in both xml files. <connection-url>jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/jbossportal</connection-url> Next I used DefaultDS for the value of the jndi-name in both xml files. Is this correct and is this the only place where this name should be entered ?
