Let's say your DB accepts 10 connections maximum. You have configured JBoss to use 11 connections (in 3 different DS). As long as 10 connections are used everything works just fine, when 11-th conn is needed you have exception from your first message. You have to check your RDBMS configuration, and any *-ds.xml definition that uses this DB. Good luck,
