I just configured another jsf-facelets.jar, and my application is working fine
with
<context-param>
<param-name>javax.faces.STATE_SAVING_METHOD</param-name>
<param-value>server</param-value>
</context-param>
I think there might be some problem in jsf-facelets.jat included in
jboss-seam-1.0.1.GA
