I don't suppose you've got a link to the issue in the bug DB have you? I've just had a look but can't spot anything relevant. I'll definately investigate the table locking issue you're suggesting. Nothing else should be using the DB at the time, so I'd guess if table locking was to blame, it would be a JBoss issue (or a sloppy programming issue on my part!). Thanks for your help.
