Yours doesn't seem down by much! I figured out the base problem (you need a @FilterDef *and* a @Filter), but am encountering some other issues, mentioned in the other thread. Nothing to do with Seam though.
I guess the only subquestion worth asking here is, what's the roadmap for Hibernate 3 now? Is there going to be a Hibernate 3.3? Or 4.0? Or ????? Basically, I can see myself wanting to do some JIRA patches to filters in Hibernate3 soon, and I'm wondering what the chances are that they'll get accepted....
