I was confused too ;-) After deploying my jar in NodeA's farm directory, it got copied over to NodeB's farm directory, it deployed successfully on both nodes. I Ctrl-C on NodeB which starts the shutdown sequence. NodeB starts undeploying it's services including the copied jar sitting in the farm directory. That fires a message to NodeA saying to undeploy the same jar. After NodeB is all shutdown, NodeA no longer has my jar deployed, my app is dead in the water.
