Hi Bob, Thanks for the tip... I actually copied the oracle-service.xml out of the examples/jca as soon as I started having problems and didn't post the problem until it seemed it didn't make a difference. I didn't notice the diff, but I was sure of having a good config anyway :)
hopefully this will help someone that is browsing the archives and trying to upgrade tho! It's probably something that would be good in the release notes. As an aside, I put an idea on the Xdoclet list about making a @change delta item, a parallel tag to @todo. One of the thoughts was that whenever there was a change that could adversely affect a user, you would create an @change tag for the method. When the tags were compiled, you would get an automatic generation of information that needed to be updated in the documentation, or at the very least included in release notes for projects that didn't really keep the documentation too up to date. In theory, it removes much of the burden from the developers because the simple questions now are answered with "RTFM"...
