The earlier post was wrong. Use http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/

Subject: [JBoss-user] Mapping Configuration Error

Greetings,

I am new to the JBoss experience.  I have recently installed jboss-3.0.1RC1_tomcat-4.0.4 on a RedHat 7.3 box.

I execute /usr/local/jboss/bin/run.sh  There appears to be no errors in the /usr/local/jboss/server/default/log/server.log.  When I bring up a browser and enter http://localhost:8080/admin/jmx.jsp (spied from an earlier post)  I get no love.  I do get a status 500 from Tomcat: No Context configured to process this request.  The server.log then shows a Mapping configuration error for request URI.

There is a similar response at http://localhost:8080/examples/  However, when I startup Tomcat standalone I get the examples index.html and the jsp and servlets function properly.....

My latest effort with running both JBoss and Tomcat shows output at http://localhost:8080/examples/examples/servlets/index.html  (I am not sure how this address found it's way into my browser) But when I click on any of the Execute or Source links I am back to the status 500.

Thanks for your time,

Scott Ditzenberger
