Egger, Thank you for pointing me to the generic data source example. I found it yesterday afternoon. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, though. I may have time to try it this morning. I haven't seen this technique used in the *-ds.xml files that I've studied, but I haven't studied all of the examples that are included in the RC3 download. I should check more of them today, in addition to trying the dependency. However, since I haven't seen this technique in any *-ds.xml files yet, I wonder whether it's the intended way to configure a data source using a *-ds.xml file. If anyone knows, please inform us.
