After finishing my las exam for the next time, I just chatted with my colleague who is helping me with my work on the SPECjAppServer2002.
He told me that he was able to get rid of some nasty deadlock-problems we were having and that everything scales up nicely to TxRate 5.
Next step will be geting the cluster up and runing.
Let's see what results the benchmark-party will produce :)
I'll keep you informed about our progress and I realy hope we will be able to publish everything in the next few weeks.

PS: Has anyone got an idea, why the deadlocks diapeared after increasing the VM Memory and the Tomcat threads? It sounded sort of funny to me.
