I'm curious, what are the benefits of using SSL in Tomcat instead of Apache? I'm wondering if it overcomes any of Apache's limitations.
The primary limitation in Apache is that named virtual hosts doesn't work, although you can still use IP or port virtual hosting. Does named virtual hosting work if you use Tomcat for SSL? Do you have to sacrifice anything to use Tomcat's SSL?
