I can't find a detailed list of changes, but some of them are

- JMX microkernel
- CMP support
- clustering support
- JBoss.net (web services)

Also, the more recent versions have major improvements on the JMS front, performance, 
stability.

The price is the same, so why would you use the old stuff which is sure to give you 
upgrage pains once you need them (and you will).
