I see that ant has a deploy task called ServerDeploy. http://ant.apache.org/manual/OptionalTasks/serverdeploy.html
and it appears that for JBoss i would have to use the generic sub-element. providing server username password and classpath, but has anybody ever actually used this that could give me an example ??
