Well, It happens to me in this scenario: Two servers A and B running session replication with jboss clustering. To test session replication, a session is stablished and network traffic is verified in machine A. Then machine A is unplugged from the network, machine B holds the session and the user can continue working on it. However, when machine A is plugged again, it appears to be rejected by the cluster showing:
