I wrote a small test using both @Factory and @Begin. Works perfectly. Important
though to label the @Factory("variable") to have a conversation scope
(@Out(scope=ScopeType.Conversation) private String variable;).
Unfortunately my original usage is still broken. But at least I know that it is
suppose to work !
