This is not what I heard from some big players in this field. They tend to separate concerns but at the same time do not switch to standards for at least the ui frontend (unfortunately I cannot comment in detail due to some stupid NDA) This kind of corresponds to our own experience, where the reuse of a subprocess (not jBPM :-( ) required a completely different pageflow. Even if it is one person doing them both, separation of roles/concerns should still take place.
