Make a serach for "1098" above directory server/default/conf. Its an xml, I'm 
not sure about the correct name. jboss-service.xml, or something like that. 

I also was with this problem. The MSN Messenger was using the port 1098. I 
changed Jboss Rmi port to 1122, and no more problems about it has occured.
