ello, I partially agree with your comments. I feel that dbforms was remarkably easy to learn and use. It did not take me much time at all to install and use it for the first time.
That was mainly because I have ironed out the problems with various issues in my app servers (e.g. it took me a couple of days of trial and error to get tomcat 4.0.3 jdbc pool working with sybase). As of dbforms itself, I have never encountered any problems. I mainly use it for admin pages to maintain reference data. For any main business components, I still go through the OO design process without dbforms. I am using dbforms under tomcat 4.0.3, jdk1.4.0, struts 1.1 and tiles. It's been working well. cheers romen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dirk Kraemer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "dbforms-interest mailing list" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, May 24, 2002 10:05 PM Subject: [dbforms] name for directory within dbforms applications needed > Hi all, > > i'd like to have a directory within dbforms applications > where we could put shared JavaScript sources, icons etc. > To use the one or other functionality, developers would simply have > to copy this directory into the root of their web application. > Can we find an agreement on the name of such a directory? > What about 'dbformslib' ?
