As you may be well aware, DbForms has been in existence for over 3 years.
In this time, many people have participated in its development and contributed to its
success.
Over the last year, DbForms has continued to evolve, thanks to individuals who believe
in this project. However, only developer
versions have been made available which we believe gave a false sense of instability.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
DbForms is now more stable then ever and to prove it, we are releasing DbForms Version
2.0.
Among the new features available, you can expect:
* A new (and improved!) navigation framework which is compatible with
free form selects.
* Support for reading XML data sources.
* A new bookstore example application which facilitate testing and bug
reporting and contains a growing number of how-to example pages.
* Numeric and date values found in input (text) fields to be formatted
using end-user locale settings.
* Support for junit testing.
* A new filter tag to make it easier to select special filters.
* Embedded support for JasperReports.
* change tableName attribute in dbforms tag at runtime
Please take the time to download this new version and give it a try. Let us know what
you think. And don't forget, there is always
room for you to participate, whether it is:
* Submitting a bug
* Providing bug fixes
* Submitting new functionality
* Providing corrections or enhancements to documentation.
