Not only filter tags. There are the validation tags and the calendar control
too which use javascript. So the whole framework has to be changed.

Yes this make sense - if somebody finds the time to review the whole
javascript sections.
There is similar discussion the help forum on SF yet......

Maybe there is someone with the needed time? Remember - this is OpenSource
framework. So you can do this by yourself!
