Nicolas,

I think that incorporating AJAX is a good idea.

Another possible use is pre-event validation (possibly only update), where data can be validated BEFORE being sent to the framework. This would be useful in the case of issuing warnings to the user ie. "Warning: XXX will be affected by this change. Do you want to continue Y/N".

Subject: [dbforms] What about AJAX ?

Hi,

I was wondering if any of you would have AJAX requirements/ideas for Dbforms ?

I’m sure that AJAX could add more value to this already feature rich framework.

One idea that comes in my mind is an auto-suggest textField or textArea. (a la google search: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en)

While hitting keys, queries are sent in background using _javascript_ and the result is suggested in a list (I know this could generate a lot of query on the DB but I think in many cases it would be acceptable).

What about your AJAX ideas ?
