I wonder how? I commented them out but it made no difference. I then tried
losing various bits of my .emacs, and finally identified

(require 'jmaker)

as causing the error. With this line commented I get no errors, when its
used I get:

Fontifying MOMListener.java...
Fontifying MOMListener.java...done
Setting JDE variables to startup values...
File mode specification error: (wrong-type-argument keymapp nil)
Folding buffer...
Folding buffer... done

on opening java files. I don't know if this is a problem in jamker, or
one of the files it loads. Has anyone experienced the same problem?
