I am a devoted JDE user but not yet an Emacs guru. I do have dreams though.

I am curious if there is a way to force the screen buffers to stay the same
size. I am probably using the wrong terms here so I will explain.
When you do a compile, a second buffer appears on the bottom half of the
emacs screen. While you can resize this buffer, if you chose to do another
operation, i.e. run app., the buffer is reset to take up half the screen
again. Is there any way to control this resizing ? I would like to make
the buffer only take uip about 20 - 25 % of the main screen.
Any ideas would be appreciated. You can even call me names for posting a
stupid question if you want.
