The bug Paul describes is fixed in XEmacs 21.1.3 (I am assuming Vin will do
a point release of 21.1.2 which includes this fix amongst other things) and
21.2.14, but I don't think this is the bug you are experiencing.

Is this a CLASSPATH problem? The version of jde included as an XEmacs
package works just fine (2.1.5), is there a reason you have to use 2.1.6b1?
I am relucatant to put effort into 2.1.6 until both it and XEmacs 21.1.3
are released....
