JBUG interface status?

Hey, I was wondering how goes the effort of creating a 
debugging interface based on the new Java Debugger Interface?

I recently downloaded the beta 2 releases of the debugger api
from java.sun.com, but couldn't get it to work on NT or solaris -
different problems on each platform, sigh.
