Hello,
I'm trying to set up jde-2.1.5 on Redhat 5.2 (Intel). I'm using xemacs 20.4
(and emacs 20.3.1), and jdk117_v3. I installed the minimal ".emacs" file from
the jde-website and changed the load-path to point to ~/jde-2.1.5.
For some reason, when loading a .java-file (or switching to java-mode), no
menu item "JDE" appears (as it should according to the docu). Commands like
compile ("C-c C-v C-c") are not recognized. However, xemacs _does_ recognize
"M-x jde-compile", "M-x jde-db" etc.
What could cause the problem?
Also, when debugging an applet, xemacs reports "shelex.exe" is not found. What
is that tool? The docu says it's only relevant for the Windows version.
Thanks for your help,
-Chris.
