Hi all,

I apologize if this is not the right place for this question. I'm
encountering a problem which is preventing my from using JDE. I've been a
jde user for some time. Recently I've installed emacs and JDE on a new
machine, and apparently I've done something wrong.

The problem happens when, in JDE, I try to customize my project options.
When I hit "Save for Future Sessions" in the customize buffer, I get back a
message "Invalid read syntax: ")"" and my changes are not saved. This is
preventing me from setting my Jde_Global_Classpath.

I suspect the problem has to do with my new .emacs file, and that its
customize, not the JDE directly which has the problem. However I'm in
something of a hurry to get this working, and I know there's a lot of emacs
expertise on this list. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

-Dave
