remote debugging *is* supported by the new debugger backend: though it might be a while before it shows itself at the frontend. once the beta version of jde is out, i'll gladly help people who require this functionality. essentially, all of "launch", "attach" and "listen" are supported: once the connection is made to the target process through one of these, the interaction between the user and the debugger is the same. amit
