You could have a look at the customizable verion of
jde-cflow.el that I wrote, which is available at
http://genetics.ich.ucl.ac.uk/plord. It has a whole load of different
expansions with tempo templates, and a mechanism for applying them as
abbreviations. Theres a "template" which has been commented out so
that you can add more abbreviations if you want...
