Bernard,
cc-mode is the emacs mode for C/C++ editing. When installing xemacs,
did you install all/some of the additional libraries? IIRC, when
installing Red Hat, you are given the option to install xemacs without
the extra libraries.
If you do have cc-mode installed, the maybe you did not load it. You
can either place the file in your xemacs lisp directory, or use the same
load-path/require functions you used for the JDE.
If you do not have cc-mode installed, you can get the latest version
from:
http://www.python.org/emacs/cc-mode/
There is a function in emacs that will allow you to test if a certain
package is installed, but I do not remember off hand. (anybody?)
