Hi!
I have many times thought about this idea of Brian of separating the
display of code and comments (javadoc or other).
I think it would be great if there was the option of having two windows
open on the same document. A bigger one with the code, and another,
smaller, showing the existing comments related to the line where cursor in
the code window is on. Nevertheless, both code and comments were on
the same file.
Like:
*********** from a file containing: *********************
/**
* Some comment on the class
*/
public class foo
{
//a large comment on the line where the cursor
//is on
some_complicated_thing_1; [cursor]
//some other comment that will not appear
// unless the cursor is on the line below
other_line;
}
*********** ... emacs would show: ************
-Top Window------------------------------
public class foo
{
some_complicated_thing_1; [*cursor*]
other_line;
}
-Bottom window---------------------------
a large comment on the line where the cursor
is on
What do you think ?
