Actually, what I'd really like is a choice of debugging environments for the
JDE. While the progress with jdebug looks promising, and I certainly don't
want to undercut or make less of everyone's tremendous effort in that
regard, being able to use a fully graphically debugger might be nice. This
could be accomplished a couple ways. Ideally, I'd like just be able to use
JDE along such a debugger. (It's too bad the old jikes debugger died, as it
looked promising for this kind of setup). Alternatively, I'd like to replace
JBuilder's built in editor with emacs. But in the later case, there's really
little reason to preserve JDE functionality as it is duplicated by the IDE.
