Customizing the {'s position

Hi,


This may be a general emacs question.

I would like to customize the way { are placed in Java as well as C++
mode in emacs. 

By default it moves by "default-tab-width" spaces. I dont want this {
to move, but only the following statement body to move and get
indented. 


Any help would be appreciated.
