I've seen xargs fail for very large source directories, i.e., the entire
JDK source. However, it never crashed my system (Win95 and Win/NT).
Workarounds might be to tag subdirectories or use etags, which now tags
Java source files, though it does do as good a job. For example, it does
not tag interfaces or fields.
