The naming scheme is not rigorous because it has had to evolve to
accommodate options that I never envisioned at the start and trying to lump
dozens of options into three broad categories is not easy. Anyway, the
number of options long ago exceeded my exceedingly limited memory capacity
so that I often find myself looking for an option that I'm not sure exists.
In such situations, I find C-h v jde- my best guide. For example, I could
not remember jde-run-working-directory. Here is how I found it. I first did
C-h v jde-run- TAB. This displayed a buffer of all the jde-run options. I
then did C-s dir on this buffer and quickly located
jde-run-working-directory. I then clicked on jde-run-working-directory to
get help on it. The help confirmed that it is the variable I wanted. I
could have then immediately customized the variable by clicking on the
customize option in the help buffer.
