Hi David,
The JDE already has a completion package. The command is
jde-complete-at-point (C-c C-v C-.). The command completes method names and
variables at point, using the minibuffer. The next release pops up a menu
of completions.
I will look at what you have done and see if there is any additional
functionality that can be folded into jde-complete.el.
