The only problem with jikes has been with JDEbug. The last time I tried
JDEbug would sometimes not honor breakpoints set in classes compiled with
jikes. It seems that jikes was not current with JPDA. I don't know whether
jikes has been updated since then to be current with JPDA. Too bad, because
jikes is much faster than javac on Windows. On Solaris, for some reason,
it's not much faster, if at all, than javac.
