Thank you for your response. I have done exactly what you recommended. 1)$LD_LIBRARY_PATH was set /usr/local/jdk1.2.2/lib/i386/ where "libjdwp.so" is located 2) I am now running JDE 1.6...23beta. Problem 1 I tried to use JDEbug. It complained: jda-bug-jbda-directory var is not set up. What should I set it to? Problem: 2 I tried to ran Debug App got back: Initializing jdb... > Deferring breakpoint HelloWorldApp.main.
