Paul, it occurred to me that people, myself included, are asking the same questions because we're having a hard time finding the answers we need in the mailing list. Searching the archives does not seem to be helping, since the sheer variety of emacs, emacs setups, .emacs, versions of support packages, etc. make it really hard for novices like me to know where to start looking. Since we don't really know what the problem is, how can we know what to ask to fix it? I notice that the FAQ on the JDE home page is, well, not. Maybe the list could put some effort into posting the most common and most easily answered questions there, since we can do it ourselves. Then we could both answer novice questions much easier, providing links to the mailing list archive if relevant, and ease the tech support demand on the list. Does this sound like a good idea? <-- this is directed at everybody Regards, -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Benjamin A.
