I myself have had problems and I have had reports from others of problems
running JDEbug on classes compiled by jikes. Typically the problems have to
do with recognizing breakpoints. With jikes-compiled classes, JDEbug honors
some but not all breakpoints. I've never bothered to collect and classify
all the problems reported with Jikes.

Perhaps the problems have been fixed in recent versions of jikes. If so,
that would be great news the Windows version of Jikes is very fast (the
Solaris version doesn't seem to me any faster than javac). Please keep the
list posted on how you fare with jikes and JDEbug. A lot of us are interested.
