When I have an error in a compile, I mouse-3 on the error message and the
compile and java buffers switch windows. The cursor is then placed on the
correct line in the java buffer.

I don't recall this happening before. Is this new in 2.1.8??

I have recently gone to a Microsoft intellipoint optical mouse. I don't recall
whether this showed up before or after I made the switch.

Also, our friend Bill doesn't seem to know about standard 3-button mice, so the
third button has to be assigned to something other than button-3-click. It
defaults to autoscroll. When I click it in the compile buffer, it shows the
autoscroll cursor, but emacs still seems to figure out that I want button 3 and
the "go to error line" function does work. How can I assign the "move to error"
behaviour to something like "shift-button-1-click"?

Sorry for the newbie stuff - I'm just trying to get some java work done, not
become a lisp/emacs expert.

As always, in advance, I appreciate the help.
