Jikes is currently not compatible with JPDA, Sun's new debugging
platform. A JPDA debugger is shipped with jdk1.3 and is available for
download with jdk1.2.2. Several IDEs, including JDE, Jbuilder, etc.
support JPDA. The last I knew, the Jikes development team had not yet
decided to do the work to support JPDA and were inviting outside
developers to so contribute.
