Hi Will,

I'm aware of the incompatiblity. That is why the JDE web site and release notes
expressingly warn people that the latest version of the JDE does NOT work with
the latest versions of speedbar and semantic.

The latest version of semantic introduces a generalized version of a feature
that was first implemented in the JDE. This is so that other packages can use
this feature. I wanted to make sure that the semantic version of the feature is
stable before removing the original version from the JDE. I have tested the
semantic version and it seems to work fine. Accordingly, the next release of
the JDE, which I expect to release this weekend, will support the latest
versions of speedbar and semantic.
