The main JDE page says:
Note The native Windows version of XEmacs does not correctly launch Java
processes.
For this reason, you should avoid using this version of XEmacs until the
problem is
resolved. Alternatives to the native version of XEmacs on Windows include
the Windows
version of Emacs (recommended) and the Cygnus version of XEmacs

Is this still true of recent version of XEmacs on windows, or has anyone had
success
using later versions (such as version 21.1.9)?
How about the XEmacs 21.2beta35 or beta36?
If it is still broken, has anyone approached the XEmacs folks about fixing
the incompatibility
or ventured to make the fixes themselves?
Don't want to duplicate effort, so I thought I'd ask first.
I know ftp://ftp.xemacs.org/pub/xemacs/packages still has a very old version
jde-1.22.tar.gz.
Thanks, Troy
