Title: How to run Java program from non Java buffers

Hello,

I got a bounce from my mail server. I apologize if you get this mail twice.

I am using JDE version 2.2.5.2 on GNU Emacs 20.6.1 on NT 4.0. I would like bind some global key to execute Java program i.e. to call jde-run function from any buffer - even those that may not be associated with a Java file. I had this working for jde version 2.2.2 but when I upgraded to 2.2.5.2, I started getting message "The jde-run command works only in a Java source buffer.". Was I using some bug as a feature or was this restriction added in recent versions intentionally ?

Is there any workaround to run program from non Java buffer.

Thanks,

- Niranjan
