Typically indicates incorrect type for a JDE customization variable.
Perhaps the jde-db-debugger variable. Reset it to its standard value in a
customization buffer (to get correct setting), then reset again to desired
value.

This is the result of a typo in jde-db.el. I have attached a fixed version.

This is a bug with the compiled versions that has bedeviled me for some
time. I don't know why some versions of Emacs complain about my
win32-show-window-save macro, but they do. It does not happen on any of the
systems that I use so I can't reproduce it. I'll have to depend on some
Lisp-savvy user who gets the problem to provide a fix. In the meantime, the
workaround is to run the JDE uncompiled.

JDEbug, if you want to use the JDE's builtin debugger. Select jdb, if
you want to use the version of jdb that comes with JDK 1.3 (or later)

the version of jdb that comes with JDK 1.1.x (or earlier) versions of
the JDK or with the Solaris and Windows versions of JDK 1.2.x.
Otherwise, select Other. Other may be an executable or a Java
class. If Other is a class, the JDE launches a vm to run the
debugger. If you choose jdb or oldjdb, you must ensure that the jdb
executable is in your system's command path. If you choose Other,
select the debugger's type (executable or class) and enter the path
name of the debugger, if Other is an
