Problems with "dot completion"

Hi!

I got the problem that when I press C-cC-vC-. I get the following Lisp
error message:

Lisp nesting exceeds max-lisp-eval-depth

I'm using GNU Emacs 20.6.1 in conjunction with JDE 2.2.5, elib 1.0,
semantic 1.3.1, and Speedbar 0.13a on a SuSE Linux 6.4 (glibc 2.1.3
based) system.

Am I using the wrong versions?
What else can be the cause of this problem?
