Ok, i have done some self-tests:
1. I have removed all the eieio* files from the JDE-lisp directory
2. I have installed EIEIO 0.15, the latest version.
3. I have added to the JDE makefile the path to eieio-0.15
4. I have re-byte-compiled JDE 2.2.6beta7 with the EIEIO 0.15
5. I have played a little bit with JDE and JDEbug and it seems to
work. Surely this is not a deep test but i think there is a lot of
hope that JDE works with latest EIEIO 0.15.
Paul, could you please do all the tests you think they are necessary
and then removing all the eieio-stuff from the JDE-distribution but instead
adding the EIEIO to the requirements list like semantic!?
This would really be nice!!

.15.tar.gz has better byte-compiler
support, and much better help system support. The help support now lets eieio based
programs
load faster.
+ ftp://ftp.ultranet.com:/pub/zappo/public_html/download/eieio-0.14.1.tar.gz fixes
+some compile
time problems when used with EIEIO using packages.
+ ftp://ftp.ultranet.com:/pub/zappo/public_html/download/eieio-0.14.tar.gz adds
+multiple inheritance.
Because we think to implement our own package on the basis of latest EIEIO (0.15) now
i have
some questions/suggestions:
- Works JDE with EIEIO 0.15?
- Which version of EIEIO JDE will use, this one shipped with JDE (0.13) or the 0.15
version, installed
in some parallel directory added to the load-path *before* the JDE-dir. IMHO the 0.15
should be used
if it comes in the load-path before the JDE-dir? Is this right??
- Why does JDE include its own version of EIEIO and does not add EIEIO to the
requirements list
like Semantic, Speedbar and Elib??? I think this would be much clearer!
MTIA,
Klaus
