I use Emacs 20.7.1 on NT 4.0.
Sorry for cross posting to both the list, but I believe the problem is relevant to both the lists.
Recently after upgrading to jde 2.2.6 set mark command does not always work. I believe that this has nothing to do with my key board as I see "Mark set" message in the echo area as well as in the message window. When the problem arise, the color changes that happen because of transient mark mode, do not appear nor any of the kill functions work.
In other modes that I use, this seems to be working properly - or may be I work on Java files mostly, I am noticing the problem and there really is a bug in Emacs.
Has any one else seen this problem ?
